A new Photographic
Atlas is presented, focused to simplify the identification and study
of the flower Scarabaeidae. 43 species are studied, divided in four families
(Glaphyridae, Melolonthidae, Rutelidae and Cetoniidae). The determination of
all the species can be quickly and easily done due to the large number of photographs.
The introduction is split in several chapters dealing with the morphology, biology, morphological variability (with many photographs), geographical distribution and conservation proposals. It is followed by the specific treatment which includes data on the morphology, habitat, biology and geographical distribution of each species, as well as the bibliography of each taxon. A distributional map, representative icons of the habitat and the emergence period of every species are also added.
