Each species is presented in individual sheet, which includes all color photographs of the habitat, subspecies and, when it corresponds, specimens of the intraspecific variability, sexual dimorphism, etc. Representative icons of the habitat, preferred altitude and the period of emergence of the adult are also added. The text includes comments on the morphology, biology, distribution (accompanied with map) and with bibliography.
This volume includes the Superfamilies: Lasiocampoidea (Lasiocampidae), Bombycoidea (Endromidae, Saturniidae, Lemoniidae and Sphingidae), Axioidea (Axiidae) and the first part of Noctuoidea (Notodontidae, Lymantriidae and Arctiidae. All this represents a total of 105 genera and 171 species.
